Maryam Esperanza F. Razaz is a fourth-year college student. She attends Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College and is pursuing a dual concentration in Medieval Studies and Analytical Chemistry. Her goal and dream is to attain an MD-PhD in the History of Medieval Medicine. Even though she was born and went to school in Brooklyn, she has spent about a third of her life in the Philippines thus instilling in her the reverence and respect one can only receive from a third-world country and has taught the value of opportunity from a first-world country. She has an eclectic range of interests from climbing up castles to reading every book in the world to playing tennis to eating ALL the food. Her insatiable pit of a stomach and love of the magic that food has at bringing people together inspired her to create the Gastronomy Club of Macaulay. So, basically, she may be one of the most bizarre yet interesting people one could ever meet.
