Transitions

Transitions are important to a dance piece. It helps determine what separates the dances so their concepts won’t clash. In the first piece,  the dances were separated by color and music. When a new scene was about to begin, either the actor showed on stage first or the music would begin and then the actor appeared. The color of the screen in the background would always change according to the mood of the new scene. In the second act, the dimming of the lights after scenes helped with transition because there was no music. In addition, the loud scream in the beginning set the contrast between the light airy mood in the first act and the dark mysterious mood in the second act.
