The Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications reanalyzes previous satellite data (from 1979-present) and puts it into a “climate context.” For our project, we measured the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) on clear days from March to September in 2010. The PBL is the lowest part of the atmosphere and is affected by planetary conditions. For each season, we analyzed and determined trends for clear days in 2010. We then looked at several anomalies and speculated what caused each of them.
