From The Integration of Dominican, Chinese, Russian and Mexican Immigrants in NYC
Hey Everyone! My name is Michelle. My family comes from two different regions in Italy. On my fathers side my family came to America from Salerno, Italy. It is a region near the Amalfi Coast. On my mothers side my family came from Bari, Italy. I do not know much information about why my great great grandparents left Italy. I do know that on my mothers side my great grandparents went through Ellis Island because we found their names on the wall that is there.
