Astra Noel attended Bishop Anstey High School, a prestigious girls’ high school in Trinidad and Tobago. She graduated with distinction having completed the Cambridge Advanced Level exams in French, English Literature, International History and Caribbean History. After working for three years at The Carnival Institute—a government cultural research organization—she applied and was accepted into the Macaulay Honors College program at Brooklyn College, New York in Fall 2006.
She is planning to pursue major in Political Science and is currently considering combining those studies with another major in a foreign language, perhaps French or Arabic. Her ultimate goal is to work in the field of public policy.
