From The Peopling of NYC

I am an assistant professor of 20th century US Social and Public history at Brooklyn College.

I've been married for 17 years and have 2 kids, age 4 and 7.

I'm 46 years old and live in Washington Heights Manhattan.

I've been conducting oral histories with Vietnam veterans for 4 years. In that time I have collected over 450 hours of interviews with over 140 individuals. In November 2007 the Brooklyn Historical Society will open an exhibition of my oral histories.

I graduated from Columbia University with a PhD in US history in 1998. I came to Brooklyn College full time in 2001.
