Stacey Johnson was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York under the influence of her Guyanese parents. Stacey has always been academically inclined. Over the years she has accumulated a number of honors and distinctions. She graduated from Midwood High School in Brooklyn in 2006 Sigma Cum Laude.With a junior chemist set underneath her bed, she has been a long time lover of the sciences. This passion along with her desire to help others has driven her to pursue a career in medicine. She is currently a chemistry major and hopes to minor in anthropology.

When she's not in class or doing school related work one can find her doing the things she loves. She spends much of her time staying active, participating in dance class. It is in this class she learns aspects of ballet, modern and interpretive dance. She is a liturgical dancer in her church, using her body to minister to others. As a student of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, she is studying classical piano and hopes to acheive excellence in this area. She also takes pride in playing the clarinet and entertaining her family at home. Though she takes joy from the performing arts, she is identified as an introvert and reserved individual.

Stacey Johnson loves to travel and visit new places. She collects postcards from every state or country she visits. Her goal is to visit every continent and live a day (or twenty) in someone elses' shoes. The world is a vast beautiful place. She believes it would be a tragedy not to explore it for herself.
