I agree that having a high tech sound system in place of an orchestra was a bad idea. An orchestra allows the voice of the actors and the music to flow in an soft, cohesive way. Having one of the main characters have a bad voice ruins the whole purpose of the show as one goes there to hear beautiful and arousing voices.
