Objectives for wikiFrom The Peopling of New York City: HarlemI distributed a handout called: "WIKI Assignment—Getting the Ball Rolling" I just wanted to cut and paste the steps here so you can keep them in mind as you move forward. TASKS STEP 1 Decide on an organizational scheme for this material and create pages on the wiki that represent each relevant topic. You should also divvy the workload/create small groups and assign people to be responsible for the content of specific pages. We made progress on this. Small groups were created (Joshua/Eugene/Audrey/Davi--please add yourself to a group with fewer members. Keren/Diego please choose one group)
The Apollo Theater/Minton's--Christie, Rachel, Ruth, Keren Langston Hughes' site--Grecia, Diego, Andrew Rocker Park--Sushanta, Diego, Audrey Service Learning--Group Effort
STEP 3-- Add one multimedia aspect--perhaps a photo or video clip from the Harlem walking tour, something pertinent to the group's research. This could include adding a chart, perhaps with demographic information. STEP 4- Include links to other sites that are pertinent. STEP 5- Embed a GoogleMap of Harlem, and start tagging pertinent spots. STEP 6-- Visit one other group's page, and make a comment on it in the 'Discussion' section
Initial Ideas for Pages

Prof. Spencer has found this map. What do you think? Might we consider something similar? map of Harlem Front page to have short introductory text. Places to present as pages, and to use to introduce the main themes and types of information.
