Thomas WendoverFrom The Peopling of New York CityThomas Wedover ia relatively unwealthy, has no party affiliation, and is a cordwainer so i suspected all along that it woudl be very har dto dig up any significant information about him. Although I was able to find a few good pieces of evidence abotu his life, it was very frsutrating that i could not find more. Thomas Wedover was married to Elizabth Elswood in New York City in the year 1718 (Marriage ID 2220320928)[1] The most information I was able to gather about Thomas Wedover was ironically his will. In his will Thomas gives his silver watch that he got from his borther Peter Breastead to his son Hercules. He also gives a sum of money to his daughter Mariah to make her equal with her sisters Anatie and Elizabeth and gives the rest of his estate to his wife Elizabeth. In order to pay for his debts, Thomas Wendover permits the executors of his Will to sell one of his many properties. When his wife Elizabeth dies, Wendover gives all his property to his children and grandchildren.)[2]
