This video sent some chills up my spine! The way you portrayed your vision was easy to comprehend, because I was able to understand that one of the characters was contemplating murder but decided otherwise. It was also interesting to see the split screen between the person who was most likely to murder someone and the person who was still unsure. I also like your choice in music, as the song in the background added to the suspense of the sequence of events. Overall, great work!

I liked the use of the split screen and the editing of this video. I found the music very fitting for the video; it was suspenseful and creepy. You guys chose an interesting title and I thought it was slightly humorous when I thought about you guys actually contemplating murder. You guys did a great job and I enjoyed the video.

Krystal i can never look at you the same way!!!! Very good job! the 3 different characters were portrayed very well and even though no words were said i knew what each of them were thinking. Your uncertainty very much came through Beatrice! Layanah Im glad you didnt kill yourself 🙂 and as for you Krystal id appreciate if you sit as far away from me as possible tomorrow in IDC and in all the rest of our classes for that matter… thanks 🙂

I really liked the way you guys implemented the split screen in your video. The video was very suspenseful, and I love suspense. The music, I felt, really contributed to your video because it left me on the edge of my seat. The uncertainty in the film contributed to the success of your film because it proved to be a valuable point. The differentiating aspects of murder was very interesting. Overall, I really enjoyed your film.

This video really surprised me since it is really contrary to all of your girls’ personalities in real life (or at least I think so). I thought this video, for me, was a story about temptation and the negative influences it may have over people. In the end, the temptation was resisted because Layanah put the knife away, but Krystal and Beatrice show how temptation could sometimes be an extremely powerful force and may even be irresistible in some cases. I thought the use of split screen was good and really fit the messages and envrionment you were trying to create in the film.

Wow. Your video proves that there is beauty in simplicity. The clip seems to be a collection of reoccurring scenes that include characters with similar intentions, but it is nothing like that at all. Instead, it is an extremely powerful short film displaying the internal conflict of characters in The Magic Flute. Everything from the suspenseful music to the multiple screens made me want to see more. I never thought that such a short piece could have such a strong affect on me. I loved how each character was in a different environment, with a varying scarf, yet the knife was a constant. Each individual was troubled and chose to cope with their struggle individually. There was no verbal dialogue, but the point was crystal clear and I loved every second of the video.

Wow, what a video! I’m extremely impressed. Although no words were spoken, I was easily able to understand what each of the characters was going through. The music, the visuals, and the video effects definitely added onto the suspense and eerie aura of your short piece. One can clearly connect your video to the internal conflict of Pamina in The Magic Flute. Overall, this video was a great watch and kept me on the edge of my seat. Great job!

This video had me worried, just because there was a very intensely sharp knife involved. Great work! I think your video definitely displayed an excellent theme within The Magic Flute (the internal conflict of violence in Pamina). The editing in the video is also really well done. It’s abstract, but I was still able to understand the theme clearly. That is what I like in an abstract video: a clear theme stated with a seemingly random set of images. Great work!
