Great video. I liked how I can hear the different perspectives through the voiceovers. It was very cute and I liked the happy ending! It’s amusing how practically each group used phones and text messages in our videos – it shows the major impact technology has on our society. I loved the symbolism of the bird and the cage; you guys represented the opera and the romance between Papageno and Papagena very well.

I really liked your short film. I caught the play on words. Geno… Pageno. Clever! Also loved the part where you have at the end the bird flying free, just as Gena is free now that she has a date finally after 18 years of her life. Cute and clever.

This is a great depiction of what one might consider a “modern princess”. I think it shows a lot that, like our video, you chose to depict being ignored as the lack of notifications and messages on your phone. The fact that our two groups were able to come up with a similar sense of symbolism shows that there is some truth in it. I love that you decided to focus on the roles of Papageno and Papagena, though that might not be the main relationship in Die Zauberflöte you did a great job in accurately representing it.

This video was a good modern day depiction of the struggle of Papageno. I really like how you guys compared it to being trapped in a cage, and i think it is a very good comparison. Many times when you are alone you can feel trapped. It also ends on a very positive, happy note, with her getting the messages. I hope no animals were harmed in the making of this film, but really good job.
