Grave Romance

by Erin Ajello

There has to be something I can do for you
You save me every day and it’s time you were repaid
Let me fix you, let me calm you
I’ll still the waters for you to drown in
Let me be your noose
I’ll hold you up until your feet fly off the ground
I am your favorite wings
Let me be your blade
I can open you and pour you out
I am your zipper
You brought me back to life once
Let me take back the favor
Give me this last gift, your last kiss,
Breathe only for me
Death cannot part one heart
Just give yours to me
Give in
Give up
Is this world still worth it?
If I’m all you have, you’ll let me decide
I don’t want another talk,
Another promise for a better tomorrow
I want out
Come with me now
I’ll take you with me anywhere
If you’re there too, hell can’t be too bad
To stay would be to sit by my grave
Imagine the pain
Don’t walk this world without me
Just say yes
I can be your escape
I am that blade you used to praise
Let me kiss your skin
(I always loved your wrists)
Let me unravel this blue
Threads begging to be pulled
Don’t let me plead in vein
Come with me, my love
Stay forever
Your eyes are heaven
Let them close
Reach for rope
Follow me down
Repeat after me:
Till nothing do us part.
