Oblique Projections

Oblique projections, or rotating a 3D image to make it 2D, are seen throughout the ancient world. One modern example is Hockney’s “Self-Portrait with a Blue Guitar.” Here Hockney has made everything horizontal or at a 45 degree angle, making objects look 2D.
