This is a friendly reminder that the ITF Tech Day survey closes tomorrow, Feb. 22, at 5 pm, so if you haven’t already, please take the time to fill it out. The survey is available here: ITF Survey for Seminar 2, The Peopling of New York (Prof. Williams). Your survey answers will influence which topics and skills will be addressed in class on Wednesday, Feb. 24. I’d also like to hear from students (whether by email or as a comment at the end of the survey) if the wi-fi access in the classroom is consistent! It is not at all consistent for me but perhaps you’ve had better luck?

On a related note, I wanted to send some resources based on some of the survey answers:

• For those of you who want some basic info about posting to WordPress, check out this site called WordPress Basics.
• For those of you who would like some help with note-taking, here’s a great article at Lifehacker called “Back to Basics: Perfect Your Note-taking Skills.”
• Both of those skills – learning more about WordPress and note-taking – are great reasons to visit during office hours. If you need more convincing, check out this great list from the University of Michigan: “Top 5 Reasons to Visit Office Hours and Tips for Using the Time Effectively.”
