“Dont know what you got till it’s gone.” If only we lived our lives by this most meaningful mantra. How often do we stop and appreciate what we have? How often do we scrutinize the flaws in others instead of looking at the mirror and seeing the eyes staring right back at us?
Sukkot, the epitome of happiness in the Jewish religion is the time to surround ourselves with our family and friends. Instead of favoring the past, or fantasizing the future, we need to “feel” the moment and stop and appreciate what we have. Let us replace the “should’ve, could’ve, would’ve” malady we diagnose ourselves with, with a sparkling and successful sensation to fill our bodies and souls.
