Welcome to the Macaulay Honors College’s Fall 2013 Companion to Margaret Atwood’s “Year of the Flood.”

As part of the FemTechNet initiative, the Macaulay Honors class, “Imagining Gender: Narratives of Technology,” we designed this virtual reader to accompany Margaret Atwood’s text, Year of the Flood. The website contains a mixture of interactive and collaborative content to illustrate various aspects of the book. Teams of students were tasked with designing different pieces of the website exploring everything from the plot to the geography to the hymns of the God’s Gardeners. The final product is meant to visualize and represent our understandings of the novel.
