Data

Data is very important when studying a region. When we first began reading into the data given to us by the US census bureau the first thing we noticed when comparing 2000 to 2010 was a trend of increasing income, and decreasing minority presence in the area. The area was apparently going through the process of gentrification, and at quite a rapid pace.

We took the numbers that can be seen on the three pages we linked and started to determine: to what scale the gentrification was occurring,  the pace and what groups are going to be changed the quickest. The data on the pages are from the 2010 census’ and contain some very key details to the information of how Hamilton Heights is changing.
