La bohème is an Italian opera written in 1896 by Puccini. Opera is a combination of song, dance, and singing that predates musicals. Also, operas have no break in singing for dialogue like musicals do. Oftentimes, operas do not have microphones, so the singers must have a strong voice for projecting. This video features many of the songs, or aria, from La bohème. We chose to look into La bohème because we are all very excited to finally see one in person, something most people do not get to experience.  Without Macaulay, it is unlikely that we would get to experience something like this.
