Patek-Philippe-First-Wrist-Watch-for-Countess-Koscowicz.-jpeg

Patek Phillipe, the Swiss watchmaker, made this watch for Countess Koscowicz of Hungary in 1868, and while the piece was more for decoration than any kind of utility, we have him to thank for that panicky feeling we get when we see 9:30 on our wrists as we run past Whitehead.  This may not have been the first wristwatch ever, but Phillipe should get credit for making one of the flashiest watches of all time.
