Hi everyone — for Thursday’s class, we are guiding your reading responses. Imagine that Ta-Nehisi Coates and Kevin Williamson are meeting in a coffee shop to discuss reparations. Write a dialogue of approximately 400-700 words between the two men, starting with Coates’s response to Williamson’s published response. Continue the dialogue by alternating roles between the two men. You do not have to come to a decision about who is “right,” but instead, have your authors “talk through” their arguments. Then post your dialogue under the reading responses for Class 11, as you usually do. Be sure to do it by the 10 am deadline. We will be working with your dialogues in class, so post something that you are OK with your classmates seeing. We’ll discuss this a bit more in class today.
