I chose the leather jacket because this is an item I’d been wanting to buy since about 8th grade, and finally just purchased a few weeks ago, though mine is not real leather.  Leather jackets are a classic look thathave been done over an over again in the fashion industry and for good reason. They are functional and provide comfort, and warmth while employing a timeless look. It makes sense for them to have been featured in “Items: Is Fashion Modern?” because of their reputation since they became popular and because even though they’ve been popular for so long they’re still in style.
