I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed the opera. I had expected one person to be sitting on and a stool and singing in the middle of the stage. I did not realize there would be  props, elaborate backdrops, different characters with costumes and scene changes. My favorite part of the opera was the garden scene: I loved the flowers, lanterns, and the singing.
