“In a place of a hermeneutics we need an erotic art.”

This quote by Susan Sontag is referring to the ideas that art is generally over interpreted. People take the sensory experience away from the art. Now a days, we are about excess and overproduction and we loose our senses.  Susan Sontag is saying we need to just look at art in a simple way, and regain our sensory skills. I found a simple architecture piece in the Queens Museum which incorporated this idea. The piece is a layout for a building sketched with just pencil. The use of trees in the diagram and openness keeps the piece simple. This design takes in the ideas of being simple and became more about form than content.
