Guggenheim Visit

My trip to the Guggenheim was not as fulfilling as I thought it would be. Normally when visiting museums, I take my time to look at everything it has to offer. Due to construction, many of the exhibits I normally would have enjoyed, such as the Robert Mapplethorpe one, were closed. I was disappointed because I would have liked to see some of the works I read up on.  The construction and inadequate staff of the museum diminished any interest I had in the museum and its content. When I heard my classmates speak about their incident with the blanket on the floor, I did not think I would have a bad experience as well. Although my expectations were not too high, I was let down nonetheless. Although I did not have the best experience at the Guggenheim, I took it for what it was worth, and happened to find a Picasso work that I liked. I was also fascinated by the architecture of the building itself. I hope to revisit the museum under better conditions, and see all of the exhibits that they normally have to offer.
