Many people face horrifying household accidents in which they derail their body parts whether it be cutting off a finger or losing a toe. While they make their way to the hospital, most people make the mistake of putting their body part in direct contact with ice to preserve it, however this is a mistake. It is medically proven that icing the body part damages it and could lead to potential disabilities and deformations. Instead, the correct protocol would be to keep it cold but NEVER allow direct contact with ice. I propose a box or freezer type object that ambulances can install in order to keep any derailed body parts at the right temperature to protect from further damage until proper medical treatment is available.
