This is a photograph of my high school friend at Euro Cup 2012 watching Portugal v Czech Republic in the Warsaw Stadium. This photograph was prolifically spread in European newspapers and Twitter. Polish-American, Claudia Korzeniecki is wearing  a Polish Pride scarf, red and white being the colors of the Polish flag, and holding a sign aimed at Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, one of the most explosive soccer strikers of all time. This photograph is ironic because Portugal and the Czech Republic advanced out of Group A, eliminating Greece and Poland. At least the Polish team did not have a far trip home.
