In October I went to Cape Cod and walked along this half mile boardwalk. I like this picture because there is an exact vanishing point. If i were ever to become an art teacher (which I won’t) I would make my students draw this picture to practice depth perception.  The boardwalk is actually wider than it appears. I think that the vastness of the marshes make the boardwalk seem narrow. At the end of the boardwalk there is an approximately 8×8 foot area with benches. In this picture and there is actually a group of 7 people at the end, whom we later realized. This was taken with my 8.0 megapixel cell phone, but the picture looks surprisingly higher in quality in my opinion.

Sandy’s Aftermath

Last weekend I rode my bike down Crossbay Blvd to Beach 130th St. Rockaway. This house is on the beach and only the kitchen is left. It is eerie how intact the kitchen is while the foundation is almost completely destroyed. I zoomed in on this picture to highlight the dishes and spices in the cabinets. No mater how unscathed the kitchen may be the entire house must be torn down in order to rebuild

Korean West Side Story

West Side Story Boys

The second performance had a very dude atmosphere much like the prologue of West Side Story . The performance starts with a man forcefully mimicking a heartbeat by slapping his chest to the same tempo as the snapping in West Side Story. My interpretation of the scene was that he was having a heart attack, but who really knows. The performance seemed much more lighthearted once all the dancers started slapping exaggerate heartbeats. The boyish, sometimes chaotic chemistry between the dancers made it easy to picture this happening in a downtown Seoul school park.

Poland Euro 2012

This is a photograph of my high school friend at Euro Cup 2012 watching Portugal v Czech Republic in the Warsaw Stadium. This photograph was prolifically spread in European newspapers and Twitter. Polish-American, Claudia Korzeniecki is wearing  a Polish Pride scarf, red and white being the colors of the Polish flag, and holding a sign aimed at Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal, one of the most explosive soccer strikers of all time. This photograph is ironic because Portugal and the Czech Republic advanced out of Group A, eliminating Greece and Poland. At least the Polish team did not have a far trip home.
