Orebích, Croatia

This picture is from the ferry that took my friend and I to Korčula, an island about the size of Long Island. The iconic, red roofs are made from a special type of sunbaked clay that helps protect the homes from a salty sea breeze called La Maestral.  The tallest building in the town was a church, which is uncommon in America as well as the Balkan peninsula since Croatia is one of the few Catholic Balkan countries.  I especially like the mountain range in the back that encompasses the town. The rocks from the beaches are used to build the ferry barriers.

  1. Hi! Where’s the second picture? And is this the complete text? If it is, please add a paragraph to elaborate on your trip a little.
