ArtsBeat: Digital Music Leads Boost in Record Sales
According to Nielsen SoundScan’s mid-year sales report, album sales are up for the first time since 2004, a modest 1 percent. But digital downloads for individual tracks are up 11 percent and digital album sales rose 19 percent.
