Thanks to the dedication of the Carl Schurz Association, the park has been restored to its original brilliance. Today the park is a favorite among visitors for its winding paths, waterfront view, and its array of events and activities. However, park’s association focuses not only on the park’s value to the community, but also its value to the environment. In order to get an idea of the park’s wildlife we performed a tree identification.
