This week I took the wrong train for the first time in my life. Mindlessly thinking, I took the F train thinking it was my usual D train. Before you know it, after my daily train nap, I woke up to what I thought was my stop. I soon found out that I was no where close to my stop, I was in the middle of Hamilton Ave in Sunset Park. However, I was welcomed by this view. This view was breathtaking and despite the heavy winds, for a second, everything paused. I realized where I was and I was proud of it. I was proud of being the New Yorker that I am. The past couple weeks we’ve been discussing the disgust of living in such a polluted city when we really haven’t stepped back and appreciated what we live in. Many people don’t get the chance to say they’re from “NYC” but we do. It made me beyond grateful. On top of this, I found an article (cited below) on how we can take ways to improve our carbon footprint and be more eco-friendly. It noted doing some of the same things like packing lighter and taking public transportation which is what I did here. It also discussed “Carbon Footprint” which is a term that I wasn’t familiar with. It is the total emissions of someone. After during thorough reading of this article on top of another one for carbon footprint, I came to the thought of, with the advancement of technology, where will trains go since they’re becoming very advanced globally, but what about within NYC?

Nice, upbeat. How does it relate to sustainability/resiliency?
I added the article that I previously forgot to cite and added their details. Apologies.
