Maybe I’ll get more creative next week, but for now I’ve been utilizing all the time I spend at work, by seeking out my weekly gallery pics. It’s amazing how much you both notice and miss when you’re several stories high.
My picture today is not a billboard. That is the sky reflecting off of a glass building. The image doesn’t mean much, it was just bad weather passing through the city, and the building happened to catch what the sky looked behind me. But, the contrast might just be a look into our future…and our past.
So many areas of the world already have insane air pollution. Citizens in Bangkok often have to wear face masks to avoid inhaling the dirt. Many engineers have also been developing face masks that filter out pollution, so the future generations still has clean air.
Seeing this image is concerning because this is what our world can actually look like eventually. This is what we’re moving towards, and the image in the building is getting smaller and smaller. I think more people need to look at this image and realize that this is a possibility in our future. The dark cloudy days already suck, I can’t imagine not getting sun on the regular because of pollution.
