Below is the website tasks we talked about last week.
1. Create site-wide contents: depending on what the class decide to include in the site, we need person(s) to write up introduction, history, method, conclusion…etc.
2. Construction: in charge of the execution of the structure of the site. The group members will become administrators of the site and will work most closely with Tsai-Shiou on the dashboard end. (You will be able to learn more about plug-ins, choose themes, add widgets,…etc.)
3. Visual effects: to gather and quality control of all multi-media components of the website, including all images, charts, videos, maps,….etc., and possibly work with the construction group with color tone of the site.
4. Editing: to check typos, grammatical and syntax errors, inconsistency of style in titles, font and references. Also make sure all texts are voiced similarly.
It might be helpful to start a to-do list:
1. Discuss the framework of the site
2. Decide the URL (cannot be changed once created) and site title (can be changed later)
3. “About us” page?
4. Deciding the time line and work flow
