During the Bioblitz event at the NY Botanical Garden on September 6 and 7, 135 plant species were observed and recorded by students and the scientist leaders. Out of the 135 plant species observed, our group was inspired to pursue deeper into the research initiated by the Blitz by raising the question of whether invasive species would play a role in the population of native species.
