The Reading: Joseph O'Connor

This was my first reading that I have ever been to and I have to admit I was extremely tired before the reading even began. Joseph O'Connor's presentation captured my undivided attention naturally through his articulation and natural speech. What he did to hold on to our attention was to throw in a couple of jokes such as the non-alcoholic mini bar before the session began and his coke that he drank was stronger than the alcohol. He was a funny man.

Joseph o"conner

I walked into the Newman conference center not knowing what to expect exactly of this said reading. It turns out though that I appreaciated the writings of Joseph O'conner who seems skilled in diverse ways. Perhaps it was his soothing voice that caught my attention or his clever wits, either way I was listening. Just the way he spoke was admirable, with that sense of eloquence and wisedom that he radiated through his calm, precise words. He seemed free of any nerves and upheld himself quite well admist such a large audience.

Joseph O' Conner: An Excellent Presentation

I am so glad that I attended Joseph O'Conner's presentation. I found so much interest not only in his writing, but also in his charisma and the way he spoke. It completely intrigued me how articulate he was. I seem to note in many Irish accents how articulate their speech is, but O'Conner caught me even more by suprise. Just by the way he spoke, I automatically gained the upmost respect for him. I believe O'Conner is an excellent writer. As he read various readings from his novels and poems, I was fully engaged in what he was saying.

Response to O'Connor's Reading

I was completely captivated by Joseph O'Connor's readings tonight! I loved how his writing style combined such clear and concise language with beautiful vocabulary and vivid imagery. Each piece he recited really hit me. This was another speaker that was not difficult to stay attentive to. His smooth presentation and incredible work made the event go by quickly and enjoyably. I simply loved the poem that O'Connor wrote about Baruch. It just spoke to me so much! I loved how he painted such an incredibly lively and unique picture of the environment that is our campus.
