Chatham Square Library

The Chatham Square Library was established in 1903. The building was constructed by a distinguished NY architectural firm called McKim, Mead and White and it was sponsored by the Andrew Carnegie fund. This library is a significant part of the Chinese neighborhood because it acts as the center for cultural and community gatherings and provides visitors access to a large variety of literary works. It is one of the busiest libraries in New York City. ^[1]

Seward Park Library

The Seward Park Library is located at the eastern edge of Seward Park and was opened to the public on November 11, 1909. The library was designed by the architectural firm Babb, Cook and Welch. It offers a wide array of works from adult literature to children reading to reference books. While the library has been increasingly favored by the Chinese population, people of many different nationalities also visit. ^[2]
