Museum of Natural History
There is a Mythical Creatures exhibit on display. This exhibit will be especially interesting to people who enjoy fantasy books/stories. For others, I’m sure we’ve all read some story with dragons, monsters, or unicorns. This is a nice chance to see the creatures that we have imagined in our minds to come alive and be displayed in front of us. Also, there is an H2O = Life exhibit. There are a lot of fascinating facts and phenomena of water that we could all learn about. The Dead Zone (the hypoxic zone) is just one that I found interesting.
Guggenheim Museum
The museum’s interior is not the only attraction! On display is Richard Prince’s collection. His post-modernist ideas have been controversial within the art community. He takes already made images and combines them. Many say that this isn’t truly art while others say that it is revolutionary. This trip would be similar to the exhibitions and performances that we have seen so far in that we would heatedly debate Prince’s validity as an artist.
