From The Peopling of New York City
These are only a few names of the women and men that lost their lives on March 25, 1911 in a horrific but preventable fire. They were hard working immigrants that worked day-to-day to make a measly amount of money but regardless they continued to toil in hopes of improving their situation some day. Some left behind family members but others were all alone in this new country. Many of their stories are heartbreaking, but we hope that our search will help honor them in the unwillingly sacrifice they made.
