As seen in Blackfish, the impact of captivity on Orcas is horrific. We looked deeper into the scientific aspect of this issue, examining the physical and behavioral impact captivity had on these creatures.
According to The New York Times, “Art Recreation Is the Only Good Instagram Challenge.” Macaulay Honor students from Seminar I, “The Arts in NYC,” rose to the challenge and recreated famous paintings using their imagination, their pets, and sometimes their relatives.
In this project, we observed the correlation between asthma and urbanization in 23 countries in North America and 50 states of US. Based on outside studies, we hypothesized that there would be higher rates of asthma in countries with higher rates of urbanization. However, we rejected our initial hypothesis because … the reason will shock you!
Join us, as we explore the realm of HIV and dive into some real cool data! We will look into the different routes & rates of transmission of the virus, and see how they vary across the sexes. We will see if our hypotheses truly hold up.
