So glad you kept trying, Zachary, because you obviously have a lot to contribute! I edited your post a little to give you the embedded player using PodPress. Just makes things a little neater looking and easier for your audience, and of course we can show you how to do this for yourself.
The Astronomer is really a great painting, and maybe it’s one we can look at again later on as a class. I think, actually, it fits very nicely with our “what it means to be a human being” theme. For those who haven’t seen it, here it is.
I agree: Part of what draws me to Macaulay is that introspection, like you said. I love that Macaulay has a higher standard; has placed a bigger responsibility on our shoulders to take our education and with it affect our own community, NYC, and the world.
