The drag-able rolodex style navigation on this site is really really cool, and there are a lot of nice little touches (like the papery sound effects or drag inertia) that would be awesome on a timeline.

This site was created by students in the Macaulay Honors College at Queens College, as part of a collaborative effort across the CUNY campuses. The students of this Seminar 2 section – The Peopling of New York – visited East Harlem and used their experiences as well as knowledge gained through research to construct this website about the history and current status of East Harlem.
