Spring 2016: The Peopling of New York City
Are we what we carry in our daily bags?

On the first day of class, students surveyed the contents of each other’s bag and then wrote profiles based on what they found, so I thought Lifehacker’s “Featured Bag” series might be interesting to some of you. This series features reader-submitted photos of their bags and the stuff inside their bags. The title of each post is explanatory, focusing on the person’s occupation or the unique quality of the bag/contents to convey why that person carries what they carry in their bag. “The Army’s Photographer’s Bag” contains camera gear and practical items like a Swiss Army Knife and water bottle while “The Simplified Mobile Office Bag” contains only seven items! If your bag was featured, what title would you give your bag? Would the title focus on your daily life (“The Honors Student’s Bag”) or what you want your bag to do (“My Bedroom/Office/Lunch Bag”)? Are those accurate descriptions of you or just accurate descriptions of your bag and what you carry?
