“Success isn’t how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started.”

photoLast Sunday, I found my new obsession. Running lulu-clad, electrolyte infusion in hand, and fashionista sissy by my side, I completed a 7 mile run along the Hudson River for FD-a rare disorder occurring almost exclusively in Ashkenazi Jews. Running this race surrounded by adorable children who unfortunately battle with this disease was such a gratifying and learning experience. All in all, we raised over $35,000 which gives us such a strong sense of accomplishment and hope for the future.

The Hudson River Park. This haven stretching from Battery Park to 59th street is a runner’s, biker’s, rollerblader’s, stroller’s haven. Surrounded by lush greenery and of course the river on on side, and the hustle bustle of yellow taxi cabs and black suv’s along 12th avenue on the other, the aura can not be beat. As I ran along the Hudson, from 14th to 59th, I created a new and improved, techno-infused, disco dance play-list which I have become obsessed with.

Happy Listening!
