This movement of Yiddish poetry started in the early 1900’s.the main figures of this movement were Solomon Bloomgarden and Abraham Reisen. The movement as a whole believed the idea of stringing ties with the old world was very important. Books from either continent were published and read on the other. All the writers became known in Eastern Europe as well as  blowing  up in America. they believed in internationalism and focused a lot on Jewish tradition. They worked to connect the traditions of Jewish Culture of the Eastern European people with the lives they lived in America.
