I am a freshmen at Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College. I am majoring in Chinese ad Nutrition and Food Science. My parents are from Fuzhou but I was born here. I am eighteen years old and I tutor SAT and algebra as a part-time job. I love reading and challenging myself physically. I live in Woodside, Queens but I currently live in the dorms on Brookdale Campus.

For my Peopling of NYC project I am working with Bea Almendrala. We are working on the education experience of east European Jews in the late 19th century and early 20th century and the Mexicans of the late 20th century. For my paper, I am focusing on debunking the stereotype that east European Jews gained their status and prestige primarily through completing high levels of education. Bea is planning to do a case study on a Mexican family on their educational experiences both here and back in Mexico. For our web project we plan on creating pages that both compare and contrast the east European Jews and Mexicans on their educational experience. We are discussants for the group working on family experiences of the east European Jews and Mexicans.
