This movement mostly took place in Eastern Europe. The main Authors involved were  Shalom Aleichem and Isaac Leib Peretz. This movement was said to be the start of the popularization of Yiddish Poetry. It took place during the late 19th century to the early 20th century. The authors of the time wrote a lot of fiction and the topics they discussed were about life in as well out of the shtetl.
