Bibliography

These sources represent the crux of my research and have allowed to thoroughly appreciate the immigration of Judaism to America. Dawidowicz’s The Golden Tradition provides a very intricate and comprehensive historical backdrop of tradition there. Robert Seltzer’s work hinges on the plight of the Jews of American and sheds insight on topics spanning movies to synagogues. Of course the World of Our Fathers and Shtetl readings have prove to be integral in my endeavors as both works accentuate the “big picture”. The Jewish Virtual Library also proved to be very helpful as it provided many images and information about the movements. Of course those are just of the research sources in my compendium; as my research paper draws near, I feel that I am steering in the right direction and I am hoping to amass even more sources for my research.
