The audience I envision for my project, Building a New France in New York, is basically anyone who is interested in learning about the French immigrant experience/French culture in New York City. The project is still very basic at this point, but it has a lot of potential for expansion. Therefore, my audience also includes French people/Francophiles who would like to contribute their stories to the public.

The oral histories I have collected are also great for anyone who is curious about the concept of “otherness” and being a foreigner. People who are looking for more research on the ideas behind expatriate/immigrant might find my springboard helpful. My project could also be of use to anyone who wants to learn more about French culture and New York City in general.
