Today I learned why Leora didn’t make an account. I also learned about what she would’ve posted had she bothered to learn to use the website. She took a picture of bikes, as the reminder of her past experience falling off of a bike evoked powerful memories and made her feel empowered.
“I felt encouraged seeing the bikes, knowing that so many others can ride bikes without falling off.” She was then ready to get back on and try to ride once again.

Isn’t this what NYC is all about? Literally being an “eyewitness” to some of the greatest events on planet Earth? Additionally, I have always loved the NYC is the capital of nightly news, NBC, ABC, etc, and so it is always neat to run across a news van.

The impersonal, postmodern feeling of this truck is, in my experience, characteristic of most new “old school” spots in NYC.

While strolling through Manhattan’s windy streets, I saw the red letters “Ryder” flash in front of me. Luckily I wasn’t hit by the truck, and I had the opportunity to daydream about my childhood home in Brooklyn, located on Ryder St.

Growing up in the city, the lights and signs of various broadway followed me. When I was 9, I was so excited to see my first ever broadway show- “Wicked”. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to see a few other shows, each so memorable.
